It is emphasized that the integration of 5G and the Industrial Internet will accelerate the construction of a digital China and a smart society, inject new momentum into China’s economic development, and create new development opportunities for the world economy under the haze of the epidemic. “The 14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People’s Republic of China and Outline of Vision for 2035” proposes to “build 5G-based application scenarios and industrial ecology”.

The 2021 “Government Work Report” also clearly calls for “increasing the construction of 5G networks and gigabit optical networks”. In the past two years since the official commercial use of 5G in my country, under the overall deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, and with the joint efforts of all parties in the industry, my country’s 5G technology innovation has continued to break through, the industrial ecology has grown steadily, the development momentum has continued to increase, and the integration and application have become increasingly active, forming a system Leading advantages: leading in network development; leading in industrial capabilities; leading in application innovation.

According to Liu Liehong, as of the end of March 2021, my country has built more than 819,000 5G base stations, accounting for more than 70% of the world. my country has built the world’s largest 5G independent networking network, and new technologies such as network slicing have begun commercial use. More than 400,000 base stations have been jointly built and shared, and the construction cost has exceeded 80 billion yuan. There are more than 1,000 virtual private networks and hybrid private networks. The number of 5G terminal connections reached 280 million, accounting for more than 80% of the world. There are more than 350 million 5G package users, and the price of unit traffic has dropped significantly.
