The Nordic nRF52833 SoC, distributed by Mouser Electronics, features a 64MHz Arm® Cortex®-M4 core with a floating-point unit (FPU), 512KB of flash storage and 128KB of RAM for higher-value applications. The SoC supports a variety of Bluetooth 5.1 functions such as direction finding, Bluetooth mesh networking and long-range use, and supports IEEE 802.15.4, Zigbee™, Thread and proprietary 2.4GHz protocols.

The dynamic multi-protocol capabilities of the nRF52833 SoC perform well in professional lighting applications, as the device supports both Bluetooth Low Energy and other protocols, enabling debugging, configuring and interacting with a lighting mesh network from a smartphone. The device’s wide operating temperature range also allows it to be used in industrial and lighting applications with higher ambient temperatures.
