MALVERN, Pennsylvania — April 29, 2020 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced the launch of eight new WPC (Wireless Power Consortium) compliant wireless charging coils—IWAS series and IWTX series, which directly replace the devices that were announced to be discontinued in 2017. Vishay Dale receive and transmit coils feature durable construction and high permeability shielding for greater efficiency than any industry standard size device.
Six new receiver coils for wireless charging of portable Electronic devices rated up to 10 W, 10.8 µH to 22 µH inductance at 200 kHz, ± 5 % inductance tolerance, 29 to 65 typical Q at 200 kHz, + DCR is 175 mW to 427 mW (± 5 %) at 25 °C.
Three new transmitter coils for Qi wireless charging bases, 6.3 µH to 24 µH inductance at 200 kHz, ±5% inductance tolerance, 40 mW to 75 mW (± 5 %) DCR at +25°C, 200 kHz Typical Q values below are 185 to 200. The devices are available in temperature rise ratings of 6 A and 7 A, and saturation currents of 20 A and 22 A.
The wireless charging coils are sampling and mass-produced now, with lead times of 12 weeks.
